This is Kapitza's pendulum, which is an inverted pendulum that is (potentially) stable due to its vertically oscillating base.
The pendulum resets when the parameters are changed with the sliders.
To check for stability, the pendulum can be pushed with the button on the left-hand side.
The vertical oscillation can be disabled by setting the amplitude to 0.
